Hello all. I recently purchased my first fixed blade. I was wondering how I go about cleaning out the kydex sheath for it from dust and dirt build up. I've read that you just rinse it under hot water with some dish soap, but how do you go about drying it? The knife is made out of 3v so I'm kind of paranoid of leaving any water in there.

I'll second Kiah's advice - using a blow dryer can have unhappy results.

If you don't have an air compressor. Shake off excess water, wipe it down, air dry.
To speed things up, take a long, 1 or 2 inch wide strip of old T-shirt and pack it in the sheath with a butter knife, pull it out, then air dry.

Went to the beach Saturday. Got sand all through my stock izula sheath. Just took it home, held it under the facet for 60 seconds, and let it air dry. Good as new.
