Cleaning a Wegner

Sal - I've got a Wegner Jr. It goes where I go and gets used for everything from "doing" it to squid and gutting fish, to cutting sandwitches and other edibles. My question is, can this thing be run through the dishwasher to ensure getting all the bits out of tight places. Or, will the heat/dry cycle damage the scales? Thanks, Jack

While I don't presume to speak for Sal, I see where he suggested cleaning by dishwasher as a possibility in a previous post entitled "factory lubrication".
