What can I use to clean a DLC black blade (0300) so that it retains its original color and lustre?
Wiping it down with water seems to have lightened it...

A little WD40 and a clean rag should make it look like new. You might have left a film on the blade with the water.

Just got a 0300. I have Breakfree CLP, which is one of the best corrosion inhibitors I know of, but I haven't put it on the 0300 yet. I did, however, wipe the knife with a light coating of mineral oil, and then I thoroughly wiped it off with a dry rag so it wouldn't be greasy. The purpose was to slightly darken the titanium handle and the blade, and it did. I used mineral oil on the handle because I didn't want to come into contact with a petrolium-based product everytime I touch the knife, and since it's titanium I don't have to worry about corrosion. (Mineral oil is nowhere near as good at protecting against corrosion as Breakfree CLP.)

Another vote for the CLP. Works great in the action of guns, and great on knives. Gives the speedsafe a real nice feel.

Renaissance Wax isn't bad. Doesn't leave the DLC as dark but doesn't evaporate easily and keeps away smudges. Also, if you cut food with your knife it doesn't leave any oily aftertaste.
