What is the most popular product to clean your g-10 handle scales???

I heard of wd-40, but I don't want a greasey handle just clean and dry one.

thx gine.

It mostly depends on what you want to clean off, for me its mostly lead marks from a pencil in which case I just use an eraser.

I give it a good scrubbing with a toothbrush and dish washing soap. If it is black G-10 and is getting a little worn, some black leather dye (not polish) can do wonders for it.

soap and water works fine. I've heard of some using chems and things (like wd-40 and others) and it getting sucked up and making it darker, in splotches!

i put a little dish soap on a toothbrush and scrub away, works good on my watches too.

but anyway thats how i clean the whole knife not just the G10, i dont know why ya would need anything stronger unless ya got something funky on it.

Dish soap hand wash.

Usually followed by some Meguiar's or Mother's plastic/vinyl detailer on a rag to shine it up a little.

Nice. This has been bugging me lately on my Caly 3. The scales are starting to fade a little. Hopefully not from the dish soap...

I've used the black leather dye (Walmart shoe care section) on a couple different knives and it has worked very well. I believe I read that this method is used by Spyderco to recondition older knives.
