Cleaning G10

Got my Kershaw DLC JYD back from factory today, and it arrived with really dirty G10. How do I clean it? It's just particles of dirt stuck in the scales, and the coarse patterns of the G10 will not let me clean it. Would running the scales under water help?

Scrubbing with a toothbrush under soap and hot water will clean all but the toughest stains off of them.

A magic eraser works great on g10.

I like using the Magic Erasers, too. They clean G10 right up. FYI, the erasers are made from a melamine foam and are abrasive as heck. They can abrade skin pretty easily as well...
