Im getting ready to clean my knives up and was going to apply gun oil to them.....I was just wondering if putting gun oil on my DLC knives would hurt them? And if there is anything else i should watch out for?

You only need a little if you must and make darn sure it doesn't get on the lockface. Other than that have fun and be patient. Oil isn't needed on the whole blade with dlc (just sayin for obvious reasons).no it shouldn't hurt the dlc either.

It will be fine, you can put paint stripper on DLC without anything happening. :p just make sure you don't get any on the lock face.

Another question i have some rub marks on my Oso sweet blade from where it was rubbing because blade wasnt centered. (This was my first kershaw and wasnt aware of centering and such back than) Is there anything that will help remove these marks?

What do u mean by the lockface??

It's the part of the lock bar that contacts the tang of the knife.

A homade stonewash! :D or just use the bejeezus out of it and you won't even see them anymore!

Just be sure to wipe it off, even a q-tip will work for this.

Can screw lockup and can disengage in extreme cases of extreme use.

Get some small rocks pea size or what you want and put it in a gatorade bottle wrapped in blankets in the dryer you can even etch it then stonewash. Just dependson what you want. Look over in the tinkering and embelishment subforum. I'm sure there's good info over there.
