cleaning mokume ???

Hi guys. I need to clean an few peices of mokume. I don't want to distort the finish I just want to get rid of the finger prints. The peice have a nice aged look to them. Any suggestions. Will somthing like simi-chrome work.


I know one of you gentlemen will be able to help me out.

If the m. if smooth surfaced, and the real thing, Simi chrome will work just fine. Try flitz wax(not Polish) or a liquid auto wax like turtle to protect it for a while against finger prints and tarnishing. M. Lovett
 
why in the world would you want to clean mokume? that is against the basic reason for making it to begin with,it is the natural or applied patina that makes mokume something to look at and draw attention. ;)
