Cleaning My Knives/Multitools

I'm sure it probably is, but is it ok to use break free on my knives and multitools when I clean them?
 
I use Sentry products. They are a dry film, so I dont have Break Free CLP running off into my pocket. With CLP products you need to keep them "wet" to be effective at cleaning and preserving.
 
I ue BF alot. I put plenty on, then use compressed air to blow away the excess and get the lube 'injected'. Then I usually let it sit over night, and wipe it dry. It's worked for as long as BF has been on the market for me. Before that I used Tri-flow the same way, but Stihl dealerships are about the only place I've noticed Tri-flow for sale.
