I am a huge fan of Spyderco’s peel-ply g10 and found this while searching for tricks to clean it as the vibrant colors and micro-abrasions make it challenging (paper towel and alcohol sort of work but shreds the towel - as it does a q tip. Does anyone have tips for cleaning peel ply?
I think it’s a fantastic material for light, small or awkward knives like the Yojimbo and the PM2. Very sticky in the hand.

Hot soapy water works well. If it’s real bad a magic eraser. Just be careful as it’s basically fine sandpaper.

I've used some rubbing alcohol and either a rag or a towel depending on what you need to clean out of it. If you have some leftover microfiber cloths that come with many knives now that should work without shredding too bad either. G-10 is pretty stable just have to find something to scrub it with that isn't actually abrasive itself (do NOT use sandpaper) and won't fall apart (paper towels will likely just fall apart due to the traction on the g-10). Good luck

Soap, hot water, and a stiff nylon brush. The bristles will get into the valleys of the peel ply and clean them really well.
