I found a Olsen 2700 R 4 3/4". I found it my families cottage. It is in fairly good condition. The main problem I have is that it has lots of tiny crevices and craters that I cannot clean out. Also the leather pieces don't really fit right, I don't know if that's how they were made or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Lobos,

Just oil the blade down, it probably won't get any worse. If there is active rust in the pits, you could try picking it out with a needle, or medical probe. That is the best you can do without a total, and radical refinishing of the blade.

As for the handle, if it has a tang nut at the end of the handle you could try reanling the leather washers by hand by loosening the handle straing the washers, then tightening. Other than that, short of a total handle rebuild, apply a good leather dressing, and hope it comes back into shape.

HTH:D:).
