Hey all, my dad has a few fixed blades, cheap ones made in china/pakistan etc that he ordered a long time ago from catalogs and I notice they are rusting/getting stains/blems. Anyways, what is a simple way to just clean these using basic products? I really don't need to get any fancy oil or lube etc, just need to know what a basic technique is to clean out some stains and prevent further rusting.. again these are not expensive knives.

thanks, any help appreciated!

probably just some WD-40. and after you apply it i would wipe it down with pressure on the stain. that is what i do on my carbon steel blades and it works.

hey guys I found a can of liquid wrench lubricating oil.. can this stuff be used on knives, folders etc..or should I get something else, I hear 3in1 is popular.
