I've got a spyderco sharpmaker with the stock ceramic stones, should I keep them in water, and how do I clean them?

Thanks in advance

Bar Keeper's Friend and a green 3M pad works well for cleaning. As for keeping them in water (I assume you mean keeping them wet during use), don't bother. They work just as well dry.

I use Comet Cleanser and a green 3M Scotch Brite Pad. Soak the pad in hot water, sprinkle on some cleanser and scrub away. Quick and easy.

I also use ordinary Comet cleanser and a Scothbright pad. Just a few seconds under running water with those and the rods are like new. When using them, I use them dry.

Thanks for the replies I'm on the right track. I cleaned them this evening on my own and used a scotchbright pad and hot soapy water, I also use them dry.

Thanks again.
