Cleaning titanium handle

I'm talking standard brushed, non-decorated scales. I know the scratches are there to stay, but is there anything proven to work on smudges, spots and stains made from body oil, sweat, food, etc. I was cleaning the blade with Windex the other day and thought I'd try a little test spot on the handle that was showing some signs of stain. It didn't help. In fact, it made it worse by spreading or smudging the original little spot. Any tips?

I don't have a sebbie, but this seems to work on the ti scales on my CUDA dominators. I use a well used common run of the mill dishwasher sponge that has the scothbrite type material on one side. They always turn out real well, YMMV. Don't scrub to hard.

I'd first try a good detergent soap like Dawn or Palmolive, with water - and a soft cloth for wipedown/drying.

If that doesn't do it, I'd try a mild polish like Maas.
Then, if necessary, move on to a more aggressive polish like Flitz or Simichrome.

But YMMV.

It's worked well for my small regular for years without scratching the finish, etc.

In fact, I only break it down and clean this way about once every few months. I actually use hot, soapy water and a toothbrush most often while the knife is fully assembled. Then, after thorough rinsing to remove traces of soap, allow to dry completely and re-lube.

Just my .02.

No one said I have to wash my Sebenza ! It's been in my pocket for a few years and never washed ! Abrasives will remove the oxide layer and turn it lighter grey and change the finish texture. A good detergent ought to do the job.

I like my the satin finish better after using scotch pads when cleaning. It shows a lot less marking's then with the company finish. My personal preference only.
