My Dad has a Gerber Mark 11 serial number #013652, he's pretty sure he bought it about 1969 or close to that time frame. It has a gray handle with a black pommel @ guard, it is double bladed with no serrations. This knife is going to stay in the family, but we want it to retain it's value whatever that maybe. I was looking for the best way to clean up the blade without causing a loss in value. It has surface scratches on the blade and some minor black spots near the guard. There are no nicks or deep scratches and the brown leather sheath is broken in but in good condition. I would also appreciate an idea how much this knife has in value. Thanks
