DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CORRECT WAY TO CLEAN OLDER BLADES AND HANDLES? I'M NOT SURE IF COMMERCIAL CLEANERS CAN STAIN OR SCRATCH.I HAVE SEVERAL I WOULD LIKE TO BUFF SMALL SCRATCHES OUT OF, BUT DON'T WANT TO MAKE THEM WORSE. IS BRASS CLEANER FINE FOR THE BRASS? THANKS FOR YOUR OPINIONS-

Check out allaboutpocketknives.com. He's got a great line of products you can familiarize youraself with. I've used Flitz and Simichrome polish myself with great results. The only thing you need to be careful of is to try to keep from rubbing the tarnish into light colored handles such as the light delrin used for scrims. The dark residue will stain the handles. If this does happen, I've been able to get it out by rubbing a small amount if fresh polish into the stain. But work in small areas first to test it.
