Clear direction?

Clear direction is something I've always enjoyed.. so I want to make sure I go about this properly.

I registered & paid for a gold subscription purely for the basis to sell off my Sam McDowell collection.

So.. subscription is paid for but seeing as I'm no knifespert I don't quite know which sub forum is the proper one for me? They are custom knives, at least - the handles are. They are however, folding knives.. Plus! I have money clips too. While one of these has tools, there is no knife present.

Point being - help me out.. I've got a nice little lot I wouldn't mind letting go of but I don't want to step on any toes along the way.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I suffer from right-in-front-of-your-faceism. Meaning, I've scoured the FAQ for answers.. and yet here I am.

"You need to update your usergroup to show you have a paid membership. To do this

Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update your group display"

If you did pay for the membership these instructions MIGHT be the answer. I emphasize MIGHT because I am not a moderator. I am interested in seeing what money clips you have but you have to be a paid member before I can PM or do a deal with you.

You are correct. You must update your own usergroup. We fired the butler that did it a few years ago. Sorry.

Also, read the Exchange rules BEFORE starting threads, read any threads that are in yellow as they contain information that you may find helpful. If you can't find the Exchange rules, look down half an inch from this line and to the left.

Agronis, welcome to Bladeforums. You can sell all your custom knives, whether fixed or folding, in For Sale: Custom Knives (Individual) at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/748-For-Sale-Custom-Knives-(Individual)

How many money clips? If it is a relatively small part of the collection, they can go with the others. If the total of all items is very large, best to divide it into separate ads anyway.

You say at least the handles are custom. This may make these all customized, not custom, if they are simply standard knives that were modified. In that case, they are really production knives.

Thank you all for your prompt replies!

All of which were very helpful!

To the best of my knowledge, Sam McDowell isn't a knife maker. He's an artist who modifies (changes scale material) and then adds scrimshaw designs. The examples I've seen have all been modified production knives. So if I'm correct, the forum to list your knives in would be this one For Sale: Production Folders (Individual)
