Are there any CLEAR protective coatings on the market? I can't seem to find anything.
(Thanks)

Thanks guys. I checked into GunKote, by KGProducts. It seems it needs to be baked on for at least one hour at 325 degrees. I think that would draw the temper right out of my blades, or it's to close in temperature for me to risk.

if your are worrying about drawing the temper
there is one called Crib safe
I don't think it goes onder that name
you can pick it up at Kmart
or Lowes, Brownell also makes one that is spary on,That is in a clear coatand does not have to be baked on.The crib safe
is one John Greco uses on his blades.

How about Renaisance wax? This is suppose to be great stuff

Eastwoodco.com has a powder coating system I use that works pretty good.. They also offer a clear powder as well as Black and lot of other colors.. The system costs about $150 and requires an air compressor or compressed air.. Hope this helps you..
