It's no secret that I'm budget conscious when it comes to my blades. I like to get the most out of my money so I tend to not stray too far when it comes to price. With that said, I'm always looking for really good deals on knives and every now and again I find some. I'm sure I'm not the only one so how about we use this thread to talk about some of the great deals we've gotten on some of our blades. Anything from the cheap stuff to the expensive stuff as long as you walked away with your knife and a huge smile.

I'll start with the most recent find for me. I got these three fixed blades for $3 each at Walmart. They were just sitting in the ammo case locked up with $3.00 clearance stickers on them. When I asked why they were so cheap, the man told me they were taking up space and the manager wanted them gone so he discounted them all to $3. There were some knives in there I didn't think were even worth that price like some Winchester stockmans and multi tools but I did manage to find a few good ones in the pile.

While these knives aren't great knives, they're well worth the $9 I paid for all of them.

For those who aren't familiar with the Real Avid Revelation. It has 2 waterproof LEDs, one on each side of the blade, to help with dressing at night. While it's a bit gimmicky, it is really handy and the blade isn't too shabbily made.

(Had to bring it indoors to show the lights.)

That Gerber has served me well. And I paid a bit more for mine than you did.

Those don't seem like such good deals to me. They won't last as long as a quality knife, and won't perform as well as one either. A $15 Mora will last a lifetime and outcut all of the knives you mentioned. That's a good deal.

$10 for a 2005 Kershaw Leek with old serrations.
$10 for an Old Cross Silver Alox Electrician.
Gave up a $30 knife for a new mint Red Alox Farmer.
There's others I can't think of.

I got my Delica and SwissTool RS for, essentially, $9 each. They were part of a lot someone listed for sale on discussion list I'm subscribed to. Also included a couple of SAKs (real ones, not knockoffs) and an Imperial Peanut. I'll probably never get a deal like that again. LOL

$3 for a old (almost unused) leatherman wave would be the best I've gotten...

I'll agree to a degree but you're missing the point that each of these cost 5 times less and are good enough to perform well in the right tasks. They aren't super knives but they're good, especially at that price.

Side note, my Mora Companion is in that bottom picture :p

A couple years ago, I got a Ranger Green Strider SMF in new condition for 10 ozs. of silver that I originally paid $6.50/oz when silver spiked at $40/oz. My cost for the Strider was $65.00.

I can't compete with most of those deals. I got two full-size Griptilians in excellent condition, for $75 total. I figure that's not too bad. I got a new condition Rowen HEST fixed for $50.
