These were some nice Case Knives that I got at special clearance prices today. $14.99 for a stockman, $14.99 for a small trapper, and $9.99 for a pocket worn peanut! The first two were John Deere Cases. Let me know what you think. These were purchased at a local store.

I would say you did great, Nightshifter. You basically got three knives for the price of one!

That's really an excellent find. I like that harvest orange peanut!! and the yellow trapper.

Wow! At those prices, I might have bought everything in the store.

I don't have a John Deere tractor but I wish I could have one. I'll probably have to settle for one of those knives and a cap. :)

Im quite jealous of you, very awesome deal. those look really nice, especially the peanut for 10bucks.

they must be going bankrupt with clearance craziness like that. good score though.

Thanks everyone I know it was a good score. The store isn't going out of business, just making room for new stock. These knives were originally marked in 2009. There are some sodbusters left. May have to go back and snag them too. Three Case knives, all brand new for $40.00! I couldn't be happier. The Stockman is 4" long, the Trapper is 3 5/8", and the Peanut(well it's a peanut). The larger two even had the Case embossed black leather pocket slips in the tins. Thanks for the comments.

Nice snag no matter what the situation. I wonder, are they getting out of the busness of selling an acceptable quality (CASE) knives, to sell cheeply made knives for those prices on a regular basis? Just saying that it would be a sad day for me if my local store was making room for a new stock of cheepo knives.

In response to ThundarStick, the answer is "no". This store has always carried Case knives, at the usual prices. They carry S&W as well as Uncle Henry. The young lady told me that these apparently were found in the back room so they put them on clearance. Like I said they were originally marked in 2009 so I suppose they just wanted to move them. The larger two were originally priced at around $64.00!
Pays to keep a sharp eye open.

Good to hear that they are not dropping the Case knives! I picked up some good deals one time as a going out sale!
