Due to all of the folks who have done such a great job modding their Beckers I got up the courage to try modding my new BK11. Thanks to Clich and others who have posted great pics and instructions I was able to pull off a fairly passable job at the etching.
Here is the knife soaking in the stripper...I used Jasco and it worked really well.
Here it is soaking in the stripper. It took about 30 minutes.

Next I cleaned and polished it up. I was tempted to leave it polished it looked so nice and shiny!

I then blued the knife using a cotton swab and put it into the bleach to soak. I meant to try it for 45 minutes but we were cleaning the garage and having our A/C system checked and before I knew it an hour and 15 minutes had passed. Next time I will be more attentive.

Here it is after removing it from the bleach and getting polished up with the sandpaper. Due to the lighting it looks like the blade is still rusting but I assure you it isn't. I will get some better pictures shortly.

My next project is to get some handles on it or perhaps I'll just have some fun playing with paracord wrapping. My oldest son was fascinated by the project and wants to order and mod a BK9 the same way. All in all a good day, I modded my knife and got the garage cleaned out at the same time.
I am looking forward to trying this again and soon.
