I am looking for a thin (~ 1/16 in. thick high carbon camp knife- does anyone have a cliff from idaho knifeworks ? others I should consider ?

I don't have the Cliff Knife, but, I do have a suggestion.

Have you tried any Nordic style knives? They are often 1/8" thickness and often less and all are laser/razor sharp. I have several and am extremely pleased with the initial sharpness, cutting ability and edge retention on them. One often feels they got more than they paid for with these knives.

Try looking at Ragweed Forge. Here's a link.

He has many of the best Nordic style knives.

BTW, welcome to the forums!

I've yearned for a Cliff knife for years, but haven't handled one yet. I'll second the recommendation for the Nordic knives. You might want to check out the Grohmanns in flat grind; I have the #1, 2, 3, and 4. The flat grind is available in stainless or carbon (special order) with a variety of handle materials. The Grohmanns are also recommended by Cliff Jacobson.
