Hideous! Especially the Hanson.

Both absolutely beautiful. That is some sweet blacklip on the Parker.

Both are very nicely made , not a fan of the scale material on the first one , but love the design and the fit & finish , but that Hanson is off the hook nice.

Love the blue contrast on the liners , against the damascus backspring !

Both absolutely beautiful.
Love the damascus on the Parker piece. Don makes a similar pattern I believe.

As if just being great folders is not enough, both makers enjoy a strong secondary market as well.

Yeah, that Hanson guy is okay:p Cliff is one of the few folder guys whose work I have seen where if I had a lot of money, not only would I buy one of his folders, but I would even consider buying one of the Wile E. Coyote/Roadrunner mosaic pieces:D

Both are fanatastic. I have always considered Cliff Parker to be one of the supreme folder makers. Don Hanson is no slouch either.

Kevin, the damascus on that one is real nice. Cliff calls it wedge damascus. He basically cuts triangles out of the steel as if he was making and accordian pattern but then he takes the triangle wedges and sticks them together in a circular pattern.

I am no expert so I could be explaining it wrong.

This is made up of alot of different steels that he has used through out the year so there are about eight different ones in it. This is one of those knives where under a magnifying glass you can keep finding new things.

I was thinking it looks similar to Don's damascus on this one.
I miss this one too. :(

Pics are great Jon!

The Parker was fantastic in person, smooth action and outrageous pearl. Thanks for showing that knife to me at the NY show.

The Hanson is yet another examble of fine lines and fine materials. I never tire of Don's work.

Both sweeeeeet knives!

Very beautiful folders Jon, I like everything about Cliff's knife!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I tend to agree, but the Parker. just to much going on with this knife. i think the damascus is horrid on it. good craftmanship, bad choice of materials.

the Hanson is excellent. although a different bolster material would be optimal here.
