A few months back, I was looking for a slipjoint and made an inquiry with Don Hanson. Don directed me to someone I had not heard of—a maker by the name of Cliff Parker. One look at his website and I knew I was hooked. The beauty, designs, and craftsmanship of what he had on his site just blew me away. I knew that if Cliff was willing, I was definitely going to have him make me a knife.

So I contacted Cliff and asked him about the possibility of making a slipjoint for me. He was very receptive to the idea and had a relatively short timeframe—just a few months wait—before he would start the build. He was also quite reasonably priced and took the time to answer my questions and talk with me a bit. By the time we were done talking, I was quite excited to see what he would come up with.

Fast forward to last week and this is the absolutely beautiful stunner that came to me. About 3.6” closed with a single, gorgeous damascus blade, half-stop, and lots of incredible blue mammoth ivory, this knife checks every box I have. Suffice it to say that I could not ask for more in a slipjoint and I have been spending a lot of time walking around with a very large sh**-eating grin on my face. I could not be happier.

I hope you guys enjoy the pics even though my photography skills leave much to be desired. And for anyone who is looking to commission a top-tier knife from a maker who is every bit a true gentleman as much as he is a master knifemaker, Cliff Parker will not disappoint. Enjoy.

Cliff's knives are so awesome! He does small and thin better than anyone. And his mosaic Damascus blades are incredible.

He's so nice and genuine besides. Top shelf all the way around.

Congrats on that knife......its a beauty!

Three thumbs up. Two for Cliff and one for your knife! :p :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good thread.

+1 on what John said. Seeing Cliff's work in person is a completely different experience than seeing in a photo... small, thin and memorable.
