that legendary tester Cliff Stamp has a comparison test worth a gander over in the Knife Reviews section.

Cliff Stamp is something of a hero of mine. His reviews and opinions are based on real testing, not just an "I liked it" feeling based opinion like most reviews are. He can really acurately describe what he is talking about, I wish I could review more like he does. I lack the physics knowledge though. His reviews are why I found HI in the first place.

Cliff really does know his stuff! It is amazing! I like the review on the HI Khuk and a Mad Dog Tusk, Cliff broke the Mad Dog in half with hardley any trouble! The Tusk is an $800.00 "combat" knife and Mad Dog said the knife should not have broke and sent Cliff a new one and if I remember right Cliff broke that one too with out even trying!!! I think I will stick with my $50-200 indestructable HI khukuris!!!!

I posted on the review thread something like this.

As usual and not surprisingly, great report, Cliff and great effort.

Boys, this is a model for a field report.

Cliff is a treasure of the forums. He's the Bill Nye of edged steel. He makes the technical stuff fun. But I got a chuckle to realize that in that entire lengthy detail-filled test report he never got around to addressing what I suspect is the first question on the warped minds of many hard-core HI forumites (ok, I mean me): who made the 18-inch AK?

After I read some of his reports and saw the pictures of the damage he did with the HI 20" AK a few months ago I had to have at least one of Uncle Bills knives. Now my only regret is I don't have more.:)

You won't get any argument from me about Cliff's ability to test blades of all kinds.

He's as thorough as they come and more.

And he stamps his mark on everyone of them. We should all be grateful that there's at least one chap like him out there.
