Have had a Cliff for a while; decided to take it elk hunting but was just looking it over and , while the knife is fine, the sheath leaves a lot to be desired; I would like to get a much better sheath leather or kydezx; now I am thinking the Cliff may stay home this season; just would not feel comfortable with it on my belt with the sheath it came with; any suggestions?

Since the Cliff is a great knife I don't think you should sideline it just because you are not happy with the Sheath. If you don't like the Tires on your car you don't stop driving the car, right?

There are a number of Leather Sheath Makers here on the Forums that do great Leather work at very reasonable prices.

If you like Kydex (which is more durable but less traditional) I would recommend Kiah - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=833. He does excellent work, good prices and has a quick turnaround.

By getting a Custom sheath you can get exactly what you want, carry the Cliff the way you want and will enjoy owning the knife even more.

Agree with Hillbillenigma, sheath cannot be a reason do not use the knife...

I never had complains abput Cliff's sheath - classic leather, not fancy sheath.

One of the best sheath makers i know - Bob Schrap.

His web-site: http://www.customsheaths.com/

Leaving this morning to go over the mountain to chase elk; the Cliff is going; thanks for the input so far; will follow-up after I get back.
