Newest Buck is a 889. Pretty impressed with everything except the clip - which is way too tight IMO. Anybody had any luck bending this out a bit?Hopefully without destroying it?

Audio,

I carry a model 179 daily and it had a tight clip to start. It has loosened up a bit, but I didn't go bending on it. I didn't want to loosen it too much. Is easier to deal with now that I have used it for a while.

Had another brand of folder with a clip and that one wouldn't stay tight at all. It lives somewhere else now.

When you deploy those screws to play with the clip, go back with blue locktite. I have lost one out of the 179. No probs after the blue.

Let us know what your end results are.

I wouldn't bend it, just let it wear in through carry, it should only take a week or two before it starts loosening up.

Basically I shoved a screwdiver up into the clip and left it that way for a week or so. This resulted in lifting the clip off the scales by about 2mm or so -this did result in the clip becoming reasonable to use.
I do have to say I find the texture on the scales pretty rough.
