Clip blanks are here - mixed feelings!

Well, my clip blanks arrived. I put them in my new small Sebbie and last September's StarTac 'zaan. They fill the holes up - sort of. They both have a slight gap between the blank and the circular hole at the end opposite the screw hole in the knife handle. Also - the blanks are lighter grey than the knives. The screws match - but stand proud as the thin blanks aren't countersunk. I guess I'll leave them there - but they seem to detract from the knife. The empty hole did more, I suppose. The knives are sure nicer feeling in the hand - to me - without the clips - like all of my pocket knives. I do like the CRK leather pocket pouches for their carry - highly suggested. They are a better buy, in my mind, than the clip blanks.

Heres a couple pics of a clip insert I just recieved last week. You realize how small this piece of ti is when you see it up close.
I can see there is a small gap on one side of the insert when installed. But IMO I think it was designed this way. Its just enough
space that if you need to take the insert out or remove a clip it wont be stuck in there.
Im having a hard time deciding if the blasted insert looks odd against the polished ti. What do you guys think?

I don't own a Sebenza, so take this with a grain of salt, but I don't care for it.

If you order an inlay with a clip insert they come polished to match the scale.

I have them in two of my carry sebenzas. I like the hole being filled.

If you want a polished clip insert we can do that. You just need to tell CRK that when ordering. Send yours back with a note explaining and we will exchange it for a polished one -- easy-peasy!
