Steve,

Would you be willing to attach a clip to my Case Scout? I saw in one of your pictures that you were able to do this to another Case knife in the past. Also, and this is a shot in the dark, any chance that you could also work some sort of liner lock for the blade? Not that this next part really matters, but...getting ready to deploy soon (for the 3rd time) and I would love to take this knife with me to add to its history but there's no way that I'll do it without the clip (the liner lock would be great too). Steve, please let me know what you think when you get a chance, and thank you for your time.

Chris I am trying to get away from working on pinned folders at all other than the ones I make myself on occasion. I tried to find pictures of your folder and it appears there are several versions of that both in size and style over the years with different handle scales on them from cheaper man made materials to some really nice natural scales. Still, I saw enough to see that its one with multi blades and tools and I really just don't enjoy the stress of working on knives that can be so easily screwed up. If its just the same with you much as I feel for you I'll pass on the job. The liner lock is more involved than just making a lock I'm afraid. It would require taking the knife apart and really I don't even know if I could get it apart without damaging other parts of it to do that. So after giving this some thought I really am not interested in taking on anymore slip joints for pocket clips. I do appreciate your asking me to do it but I'm going to pass. Thanks anyway.
