Hi Str. Wondering if you can make a low-ride clip for this knife. I would want it to be set up for tip up, right hand carry. The knife does not have a clip to begin with. Can't post pictures but you can go to www.arizonacustomknives.com and click on Les Adams for a backside picture of the knife.

Are you talking about that auto? In the past I have not allowed autos to be mailed and I don't mail them myself. Also, most of these makers will void the warranty coverage with any modification I do to it or any that anyone else does to your folder.

I would check with Les and if you like he can mail me a scale or even a tracing of the handle on card paper. I could make a low rider pocket clip to fit the folder and mail it to him to mount for you on your behave. Now this is only if you just have to have one of my clips. If Les can make one he may do that also. I do not know him but I'd hate to turn you off by saying flat out no but I don't really want autos being mailed to me.

Another alternative is for you to buy the knife and simply pull off the side of the folder you want the clip mounted to and mail just that to me with nothing else. I may be able to work with you that way but again I do not profess to know about law or what constitutes an auto. I do know that an auto is an auto and that even if you remove the spring and mail it it does not skirt the law. Its just an area I'd rather avoid getting into. I did work on an auto for one person but that person is local and dropped it off himself and picked it up himself when it was done. Other than this I refuse them. Sorry.

Dah! I see that it is the auto. Sorry. I just got up and haven't had my go juice yet. ;)

Understand. I hadn't thought about it that way but I respect what your policy is.

If I end up just having to have a clip then I may talk to you about me sending in the back half of the knife. Of course I guess I could maybe do it myself with a clip from Knifekits and a drill press. I have the right size drill bit and tap to cut the holes myself.

Anyway., we'll see. Thanks again!
