I was looking at the Tek-Lok systems for my BK14, I prefer a horizontal carry and was wondering if anyone had any input on the normal size or small sized versions of the Tek-Lok. Also open to any other suggestions for clips, currently using a kydex sheath from Azwelke.

When I first clicked on this I thought you were talking about a clip point for your BK-14 haha :p.

I just got some nylon webbing and screwed into onto my sheath for horisontal carry.

Never used Tek-Loks or anything before.

The large vs. small Tek Lok is determined more by your typical belt size than how if fits on the sheath. There are lots of holes in both Teks to make fitting fairly straight forward.

Also consider the KaBar TDI clip. I was not aware of them until a customer requested one be put on a sheath I made for him. Nice, simple metal clip with decent mounting tabs.

If you work Kydex, you can make some straps similar to CamH's out of that material, too.

Unless your belt is huge, I'd go with the small Tek-Lok for a 14. I've used the large Tek-Lok for the BK-2, BK-5, and BK-9, though the latter two are too long to be rigidly attached to a belt.

Last I checked tek loks dont fit wihout drilling new holes in the sheath.

I use the G clip. It fits up to a 1.75" belt. I EDC this everyday, can't even tell its there. IMHO, the 14 has to be one of the best EDC FB I've owned/used.

I've been thinking about a clip, I really don't mind her behind my wallet though. The sheath I have is shorter and it rides a lot lower in my pocket. Don't really notice it at all. Good luck.

That's a nice setup, who made that sheath? Do you know if a smal Tek-Lok fits in the same holes as a G clip?
