Clip on heretic manticore X

Bought the above knife. Pleased with the knife but Very disappointed with the pocket clip. I have better clips on $10 knives. In a month I have found it laying by where I got out of my jeep. In chairs I sat in…. Basically it is 100% gravity dependent. It feels lit it is plastic!!

Is there a way to get a custom clip made that would fit it??

Shocked they’d sell a $300 plus knife with such a worthless clip!

Yea… just can’t see paying them that much to fix their defect!! Ticks me off.
I’m gonna see if I can have one made. See those for $20.
 
I have never had this issue with my Manticore X. If I did, I would just bend it a bit. On the other hand my Cleric is so tight it takes two hands to clip in the pocket and I would like a different clip for that reason. We are a finicky bunch. That said, you probably shouldn't post the same thread over and over again. It clutters things up. Check out the custom makers section and see if there is anyone there that makes clips.

I feel your pain. I just got a bnib Manticore X with the same useless clip. Zero retention. After some internet searching I found a youtube video that gave some info on this dilemma. Evidently Heretic had a supply issue and started making the clips out of FRN. After pushback from customers they evidently went a different direction. I guess you and I were the unlucky buyers of the FRN version. The rest of my Manticore X looks good though. I will Call heretic tomorrow and request a working pocket clip.

Heretic makes a brilliant knife but, IMO, every clip they've used apart from the titanium ones has been pretty mediocre.
 
I'm not sure what the clip on my Manticore E is, but for the most part its fine, if overly large.
 
I called Heretic knives and they verified they sent out a batch of knives with pocket clips made of glass-filled nylon. They also said they weren't well received. They were willing to sell me a stainless clip though, for 70 bucks shipped. That's a lot of money for a basic pocket clip............. No thanks.
