Clip or No Clip Question

I recently came upon a Civivi blade, "Rustic Gent" which does not include a clip on the knife. It has a leather pocket slip with the clip attached to the slip itself. What do think about a gentlemen's folder with this option? Is this something you feel value added or not in your opinions?

I have the similar knife with a different blade, and I do think the clip on the slip is added value. Though I am used to pocket sleeve with no clip, it's refreshing to have an option like that.

I don't like clips so any knife without is "value added" in my (biased) opinion.

Many William Henry folding knives have a pocket sheath with a clip. They popularized that configuration years ago and they are very expensive knives.

I don’t understand the question. A clip on a knife is dead weight.

When I was still driving truck, I had knives bounce out of pocket clip slips while climbing around the truck and load.
Now retired, I haven't had anything fall out. I also just drop them in my pocket like a slip.
