I have found that the protrusion at the end of the clip is digging in my palm more than I like. I am thinking to hammer it down to make it more flat. Any one carries their XM without a clip? Where can a get the filler tab if I decide to carry without the clip?

My advice would be.....never use a hammer on anything hinderer! And send an email to rob when they get back, I'd bet he'll be happy to sell you an extra filer tab, or you can post a request in WTB, I'm sure some posters have extras, as they come with the anodized clips..... I consider owning a hinderer to be both a privilege and a responsibility, just like owning a classic car....when you own a classic there's a certain privilege, that you earn by properly maintaining its condition to be as good or even better than when you when you received it, for the next generation..... Now that doesn't mean you can't drive it, in fact I'd hope you race it, just make sure if it gets damaged you make it back to right.. So please enjoy your knife sans the hammer....

Fillers are $12 plus shipping and include the 2 little screws you can use as spares. They are made out of titanium.
I always take the clips off and use a filler when possible but if you don't have a filler you can still use the knife without the filler tab until you get one.
They aren't listed on their website so you have to PM Rob Orlando and he can tell you how to order it. There may be a delay, they don't always have them in stock.

ok thx

Please no hammer!! At least not while its still on the knife. I had the same issue on some clips where that lip is at more of an outward angle, I just press really hard on my thumb or table & was able to get it at the preferred angle.
If your positive you will never need to clip it then an extra filler tab would work. It's always better to have a clip & not need it than to need a clip & not have one :)

Bend it using a vice.

thanks for the tip will try to remove it and press it against hard surface. I would rather have the clip. :)

The clip protrusion doesn't bother me when I'm using the knife but it does when it is in my pocket sometimes. Today I was doing something and I swung my hand down and scraped it against the tip of the clip that sticks out. Before I looked at my hand I thought it would draw blood but it didn't. I'm thinking about buying a second clip and grinding or bending it down a bit.

Sometimes, I think that my clip and my pocket get into fights when I'm not looking.
