I own a production Cuda Max 5.5, which I find to be a superb knife. One point, however, has always confused me about the handle design.
I was always under the impression that the pocket clip placement on a integral frame lock knife was quite important. When the knife blade was open, and you grasped the handle, the pressure put on the clip would help hold the lock firmly in place. The clip would be designed to rest entirely on the lock portion of the handle.
On the Max 5.5, the clip overlaps the fixed portion of the blade and the lock portion. Therefore, when the blade is open, the clip adds no support in holding the lock in place. Any idea why the knife clip was designed this way??
