It's a good thing I'm an ugly bastard, no one notices the clip :)

In use, it functions well like that.

Hahahaha! Yeah Im no oil painting myself... Might grab one anyway and have a go at it. I was going with the paracord carry but noticed theres nothing between my side and the exposed blade when its coming in and out of the sheath. Seeing that this thing is scary sharp (Ive already cut myself with it!) I can see myself slicing my side open eventually, not a comforting thought. The clip plate will eliminate this situation. ;-)

That's a shame. It'd be nice to have one of those for the 4. Oh well. I've just got some 550 with a cord-lock holding it vertical for a strong side draw. It does a pretty good job.

God bless,
Adam

Arent they coming out with a plate like the one that comes with the Izula 2 kit for the 3 and 4 sheathes sometime soon?

Also, the clip for the 3 mounts up perfectly. makes a good pocket clip or IWB

OK. I got bored a work tonight and started fiddling with a peace of scrap alloy. It might not be the best material to make it out of, (Kydex would be nice) but its a start. Its been completed and is sitting in my locker at work allowing the paint to dry as i type this. I'll post a pic of the finished and mounted plate tomorrow. Necessity is the mother of invention they say!

Scott,

Nice man. It may not be prime material, but you certainly know how to work it. Well done sir!

God bless,
Adam

Hey thanks Adam, as I said I'll put up pics tonight once its all assembled. Im toying with the idea of making a webbing belt loop type attachment similar to what my KA-BAR Kydex sheath has too, it might be a bit more functional given that it'll have a bit of flexability. I dont know how the solid alloy attachment will function, it might end up snagging or pushing on things when sitting or getting in and out of vehicles etc....time will tell!

Cheers, Scott.
