I really love clip point blades! I find the fine points to be both useful and aesthetically pleasing. Also, it seems to be a little challenging to find knives with clip points lately, I assume the various drop point styles are easier to make and likely less prone to failure.
Anyway, please share pictures of your knives with clip points here! Folders or fixed blades, love 'em all. I'll get it started with this Kershaw Emerson CQC-10k.

Is there a difference between clip point and Bowie blades?

Many bowies have clip point blades, but not every clip point blade is a bowie knife. I've seen lots of folders described as bowies, in that case I think they are calling attention to a clip point design.
The Bailey Bradshaw I posted above was his "Folding Bowie" pattern. I think in general Bowie knives, of the design we're familiar with, have clip point blades. I'm no expert though.

So what distinguishes between the two?

I don't know that there are any hard and fast rules. The fixed blades commonly called "bowie knives" often had clip point blades, but some were drop point or dagger. I Don't think any folding knife could technically be considered a bowie, but nowdays it is a colloquial term for a clip point blade.

I'd say any clip point with a blade length. Over 7+ inches.can be called a bowie....Not any smaller......Aside from size.its gonna be a personal preference/opinion...
