What do ya think ?

Hey Matt!
That second one sure looks familiar....??? LOL!!!!!
And if it is half as friendly as mine, someone will be very pleased!!!

Good to see you at the Tacoma show... see ya in Eugene!

Okay, this is sort of a plug for Matt...

I first met Matt at one of our local NWKC shows that happened to be held in conjunction with a very large local gun show. I thought I was in heaven - several very well known local makers were there... as was Matt... off in a corner polishing one of his blades with his cell phone clipped to his head working, talking and willing to talk to anyone about his work.

Yeah, you've heard it, or said it: "One of these days you'll hook me!" :D

Danged if he didn't... LOL!!!! But I had to make him work for it... and that second piece is a derivative of the one he made for me... And how he did it is as much a part of why I bought it...

I have a great knife made by a local Boeing engineer... but I always wanted it out of better steel... I've even posted on these forums asking that question ; "Who would take this as a model and make me a new one.."

Well, Matt took a look at my 'prototype' and said no prob... What kind of steel do I want? Hey, S30V all the way for the wet PacNW!

Several months later, I walk into our local show again... and there's Matt's table... with no Matt or knife in sight! Oh, wait a mo'... isn't that something familiar sticking out of that sheath??? ;)

Lo and behold... Matt's interpretation of what I wanted, balanced where I wanted it, and with the steel and handle material of my choice... Well, I will say if you see something of Matt's that you like - he makes a very fine knife that will fill your needs consumately! :D

'course, my only bad at this point is that I haven't had a chance to get a pic of my version to share... But that second one Matt listed is very close... :)

Thank's for the kind word's Joe
this bottom Clip point is the one he is referring to . i don't mind doing a "one Off" like this . while doing Joe's "Project" knife a couple other people saw this knife and asked about one for them so i thought why not make another? this has Madrone burl for the handle and a " Bolster" where the one i made Joe is Canvas Micarta without a bolster . balance is almost the exact middle for both knives .

Matt,
Of all your knives I think this one is just awesome:

Your knife designs look really nice, and I think it is great that you work in M2. It is one of my favorite steels and I have a hard time finding makers that will use it.

When I am in the market for a new knife, I will be giving you a call.

Not Bad at all...
I love your blade Profile Man....cograts and see you at Eugene show.....
Thanks Mannnnnnnn......
