clip problem

i am having problem with a clip on one of my benchmade.it seems the holes for the screws on the handle of knife is stripped out.beside loc-tight,what can i do to keep clip on knife.can not send back to company because of issue. any info?:confused: thanks guys:)
 
I think you should try their service - even if you think you voided the warranty doing something else. They'll probably take care of you.

If that is an absolute impossibility than I would get a larger screw and tap a new hole using the larger size, should work fine for you.

Sears hardware should have all you need for around $15 - Tap, tap wrench, new screws and drill bit.

BM's liners are hardened but not enough to stop you from tapping a hole, just take it slow and back the tap out frequently.

I had a BM I bought from an individual on this board. It had the same problem but BM replaced the entire scale free of charge. Their customer service is awesome.
 
the only bad thing about sending to their shop, is that its auto. so i going to figure something else to do about the clip. it is a reflex 2000. so i dont know if its suppose to have a clip or not.:) :)
