Has anyone had any issues with the screws that hold the clip on the Delica 4 stripping out or not tightening as they should? New knife, very dissapointed.

my screws in my endura were not tightened all the way when i received it and the clip would shift back and forth until I tightened them, but no problems since

The clips on all my Spydercos (Waved Delica, Wally World Special Native, Military, and Assist) have always been tight.

Might I suggest Loc-Tite? Perhaps a call to the Warranty Department? I hear their service is nothing short of amazing.

It's always better to contact Spyderco about minor issues like this first. They will take care of you.

I have had a related problem. I did some blade and back spacer swapping on the D4. I love the foliage green handle but prefer plain edged knives. So I swapped the foliage green combo blade for a plain edge from a donor black one. While I was at it I swapped back spacers. This adds a little contrast to both knives.
I digress. While I was doing this I flipped the clip (I am left handed) on the black one and managed to strip 1 of the threaded screw holes on the liner. I admittedly tend to over tighten things and this was likely my fault. After I was done it occurred to me that I could just swap the left liner for the right and fix the problem. I have not done this yet but assume it would work.

I did exactly that on a D4 of mine. The left-hand side clip holes, weren't completely drilled and tapped. I took the knife apart and switched liners, works perfectly now. Though, I'm sure Spyderco would rather take care of it instead of the ELU taking the knife apart. If I lived in the US, I'd bring the clip problem to their attention first.

hi guy's,

I also have some problems with the clip on my waved Delica 4.
Two of the little screws are dull.
I already e-mailed Customer service several weeks ago if it was possible they could get me two new ones, but up until today i didn't get a response.:(
And this was the first time i asked for some help......:(

I think i will glue them and hope they will stick.

kind regards,

Werner

Yeah, one of the three holes on my Delica is stripped as well.

I don't believe it was all that tight when it stripped.

However, the Endura's clip screwed in flawlessly.
