Clip removal and the screws.

I have an Emerson CQC-7 that I want the clip removed from. My question is do I have to put the screws back in the knife after I remove the clip? Or can I leave them out?

Just tape them to the clip and store them.

The screws hold the clip on, thats it. No other functional purpose once the clip is removed.
