Clip screw F&F?

Hey guys,

ive been carrying my small 21 for quite some time now and recently when i took it apart i realized the pocket clip screw extends out of the inside of the handle about 1 or 2mm. It does NOT rub the blade but i thought with Chris's F&F on his knives that this shouldnt be like that. Im not sure if my screw was unfinished or if its supposed to be like that. Either way i love my 21 and it wont keep me from using it, i was just wondering if anyone else has a similar screw. BTW mine was born in march 2011 so maybe they just changed to newer screws?

Thanks for the help in advance, Ryan ::D

It is like that on the newer small Sebenza 21's. At least it has been the case for me and a few others.

I think it is because they are using the screws from the large Sebenza's inventory. The handle slabs are thicker and since the small Sebenza's handles are thinner a bit of the screw sticks out.

A few other posts have shown a drop in quality of the newer screws on large Sebenza's and I've seen this as well on mine. The allen hole is not completely centered and some say that the screws are not flush with their handle after tightened all the way.

For me personally the clip screw on the small Sebenza 21 is not an issue. The decline of quality for the screws on the large Sebenza is hopefully being dealt with.

I would call and inquire. I have quite a few Sebenzas and none of the clip screws in mine are proud like that. It would be easy enough to shorten the screw but it would be even easier if they just sent you the proper one.

I've seen this on a small Sebenza, too. Bluesummers is onto something here. Shouldn't happen, as it is not in line with the quality CRK is known for. The screws lately have become an issue to improve upon.

Get in contact with customer service and let them know. They'll surely take care of you.

everything being said just reinforces what i thouhgt. Chris is now making the screws in house and people are starting to complain about the hex indent being off center and screws not being flush with the scales. I wouldn't say Chris is slacking, i just think maybe he was not made aware of the situation yet. I will send them an email and see whats going on, thanks for all the feedback guys :)
