Clip sheath for 112?

Hello. I recently got me a Buck 112 Ranger, what a hefty little... something :) However, I don't like the basic leather belt sheath that came with it. I cut off the flap (I consider this an improvement, although I "improved" it to ugly as hell :), but still dislike it. I'd like to have a sheath that could be quickly attached/removed from the belt. Anyone know of sheaths with a clip, preferably with an open top? Buck's original or something suitably sized? I searched Buck's web site (accessories) but didn't find any such sheaths. Google wasn't very helpful either.

BTW, the year code on the blade is a backwards "C". I remember reading somewhere that this would mean the knive is made in 1996. Am I correct?

I've made some sheaths with the belt loops fastened with a snap instead of sewn for easy on and off. Take a look at the first link below for some options. You might also want to try horizontal, works well with a 112.

mjh,I highly reccommend one of lifters 112 horizontal sheaths they work great for me.I also had lifter to make a horizontal sheath for my 532 and its excellent also.

Wow! Those are really nice.. I got a sudden yearn to make one like that for myself. I'd definately buy one, but I guess shipping to Finland could cause problems..

Cool, if you decide to make one and need any help just email me for info and if I can help I will.

Thanks Gail.
Happy holidays all!

Since everyone else is talking sheaths, I will confirm that the reverse "C" does indicate that the blade was made in 1996.
