I took the clip off my small Sebenza today, which is pretty much an EDC. I realized after I finished that all of my CRK folders were now clipless. Didn't really plan it that way. I'll probably go back to a clip when shorts weather rolls around.

The small Sebenza feels so much thinner without the clip. I gave it a good cleaning and a dab of the CRK grease, touched up the edge and all is right.

I've been clipless since day one and have EDC'd since the day it arrived. Never once has it tried to jump out of my pocket and I know I've saved lots of threads the wear that the clip would cause.

I'm always surprised by the number of people who like to carry the Seb without a clip. The pocket clip on the Sebenza is one of the reasons I love the knife so much. For me, it is the most perefectly designed clip. The second little dip in the clip makes it just snap onto my pocket and it seems to hold in place much better then any other clip I've ever tried. I tried a small classic woody without a clip once and carried it in the leather slip case, but I missed having it perched at the top of my pocket always waiting for me.

At least for those who really like it clipless there is the little cover thing, makes it look nice and finished without a clip, thought it seems awfully expensive for what it is.

I got to tell ya guys, im a clip man myself. I dont clip it to my pants much, but if i want to i like knowing i can. Also i feel like my sebbie is naked without its clip.

Clips are evil. :D

Clipped or clipless, if it works for you, that's all that matters. ;)

I do like clips, I just end up switching back and forth. If I could afford it right now I would have two of each size (and style ;) ), one to leave the clip on, and one sans clip. The knife just feels better in my hand without the clip. This is especially true of the small size, which is my usual carry.

I have a great Gary Graley sheath for my small Sebenza that is designed for clipless too, so that is a big incentive to switch back and forth.

To me a clip is a prequel to a lost knife story. I got the little thingy that covers the clip hole (yes, it IS expensive for what it is isn't it?) before I sent it to Tom Mayo, so everything matches after he did his magic on it. Then MtMike made a VERY nice belt pouch out of Buffalo and Cow for tip down carry (I stabbed my thumb a good one with the tip up/clip riding in a rear pocket reaching for my wallet). Nice and snug. Not fast, but the Sebbie isn't going anywhere. I carry a small Busse on the other side for when I need it RIGHT NOW.

The sheeple never see the Busse, just the Sebbie in the Old West looking pouch and not being drawn or opened fast. Most of the comments are, "it cost WHAT?!". Actually, I get more comments on the sheath than the knife.

The clip went back on the Small Sebenza that is usually on my person somewhere. Had it in my jeans pocket with a bunch of the other stuff that I usually carry and had a hard time getting it out. I'm going to get Gary to make me a sheath with room for the clip one of these days.
