Hey everyone. Does anyone know where I can get clips for folding knife leather sheaths? Besides Tandy Leather?

I want to make sheaths for my folding knives. They will be similar to what William Henry Knives produces. Here is a link to what I am talking about: http://www.williamhenryknives.com/product/accessory/pocket-cases/clip-case-2.html. The clips can be any style, I want more choices than what Tandy Leather has.

I guess I could make my own. I have never worked with spring steel before though. Is it hard to work with? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ron

Here is a link to Bruce Evans way of making a boot clip. It shouldn't be to hard to make them in any style you want.

Don Cowles specializes in small fixed blades and puts those William Henry clips on/in his sheaths.

I have one that works quite well (that is saying a lot since I hate clips directly on my knives, but they are cool on sheaths for small knives.)

You may want to contact William Henry or Don himself.

Don is a great guy and I am sure he will be glad to help out.

Thanks for both your replies. I have saved the link to the self-made clips and may try it in awhile and although William Henry couldn't help me, Don did.

If you don't mind...could you share where/how you'll get the clips? I would love to get some. Thanks!

Sure Dan. Don Cowles sold me some. I Googled him to get his website and then email address. As Bastid says, he is a very nice guy.
