Hey,

I'm not all that familiar with production Emerson knives and have a question. What models have clips for tip-down carry?Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bobby

To the best of my knowledge, the only production Emerson with tip up/ tip down capabilities that is currently available is the CQC series. Please note my recent post "catching wave?"

The CQC7A&B series and the SARK series are set up so that the owner can switch them easily to tip down carry.

Not true. I have a production CQC 7. The holes are drilled to reverse the clip but if you try to utilize them, the clip won't fit over the screw holding the pivot of the blade. Another instance of Emerson poor design.

The newer CQC-7's (and I'm sure most others too) have a recessed pivot head to eliminate the problem you refer to with tip-down carry. It is more like the Benchmade models in this aspect.
