Clone

Pakistan doesn't create. Pakistan copies. Sometimes poorly, sometimes quality.
You're probably right if we're speaking in generalities judging from the insane amount of Zombie Tools, Benchmade, Spyderco, Medford, etc.. clones I see floating around there as well

That being said, I'm sure there are a few legitimate makers there. I'm quite sure all recognized countries have at least a few passionate knife makers with original ideas. I know most designs are a mish-mash of other ideas that have been done before.. I mean blatant 1:1 copies. I'm sure you can agree with that.

It's unfortunate because some might pick them up thinking it's the real deal, and end up with something that isn't up to snuff. Even worse, something that could possibly fail and hurt you. It just lends to giving much of the knifemaking community around you look bad by proximity.

Some will see one garbage Chinese clones, and assume all Chinese knives are garbage. Never giving companies like WE, Civivi, Reate, etc.. a chance in frozen over hell. This more than likely lends to them fighting an uphill battle their whole career.. it's not fair to "real" craftsmen who care about their designs.

I feel very strongly about this subject though. I get just as fired up about U.S. companies that take advantage of people and their good faith. Like taking their money, and making them wait years for something lackluster. All the while they get to watch them thrive on other people being duped for genuinely trying to support their countrymen and their livelihood. It's disgusting.

Haha didn't intend to rant. Maybe I need to chug some more coffee or something stronger lol. Hope everyone's doing well, and having a good holiday season. 😁

The one in the pic looks like a stolen pic of Rob Stanley’s OG TG beater!!! With the stains from camphor laurel sap on it!

Thanks for the heads up!

A couple of questions that may or may not be stupid for future reference. If one happens to spot more like this. How would they label the report?

Do your knives fall under a copyright infringement type thing?

Is it more a intellectual property rights theft type thing?

Would that do much, if anything?

Or should we just drop the info here similar to this, and let ya'll take care of it?

Good spotting mate. It's the exact pic. See above ^^^

Just painted out the BUSSE mark and flipped it.

I'm assuming there's no pics of their actual knives because they look extremely dodgy.
