Close Call, thought I lost one of my Babies

I had to spend the night out of town on business and my wife was not there to make sure I got all of my stuff, so I did the best I could--even checked the room twice as I know she would have.

Then...I got home a while ago and couldn't find my Alsdorf knife that I have been carrying for almost 5 months...I panicked for a while and then began to accept that I had lost a knife, something that I've rarely done as an adult, and certainly not a custom. Thankfully, I found it in the laptop case, which in a way makes sense because I was browsing the forum last night in the motel:D

My baby is just like the one on the right:

I didn't realize I had gotten so attached to this thing until I thought it was gone. The trip did have it's upside even with the scare...I happened to be in Ray Cover's neighborhood on the way home, so I stopped by to say hi to Jeff, who I knew would be working in the shop. Ray and his wife pulled in with his new camper just minutes before I got there so we all had a good visit and of course I left with something...and I didn't lose it on the trip home:D

If I lost mine, that would suck,'cause these are nice...I think everyone in this forum should have one of these....
Glad you found it,and never lost it Durwood

Happy for you! A beautiful knife and would be a terrible thing to lose. Especially since it's become your regular companion. Appropriate as you mentioned that it be in the laptop case where you were hanging out on here. Keeps ya out of other trouble while traveling, like raiding knife stores.
