Okay..... the encounter was actually with Andy and it was a Bushcrafter in his hand that was mine from a purchase made earlier this week;) - the plot thickens.

I had the pleasure of meeting Andy in person on Thursday and picking up my first Fiddleback. Being fortunate enough to live a mere 11 miles from FWH - Fiddleback World Headquarters, I asked if I could do a face to face and pick up my blade. He kindly agreed and gave me the secret directions. At the door I was met by Andy and a bomb sniffing dog who quickly determined I was indeed not carrying a competitors knife.

On a serious note, Andy did give me a quick tour and I was able to admire and handle most of the Fiddleback line of blades. I can tell you that although the pics on the web site are first class they actually do not fully capture how stunning the knifes are in person. I found Andy to be unassuming and a really nice guy. He exuded a quiet confidence and was patient with my basic knife making questions. I hope all of you have the chance to purchase a Fiddleback and at some point meet the maker! He is a first class ( actually an Eagle Scout ) individual as well as a great craftsman.

All the success in the future to you Andy!

Man, I would love to have been there. Everybody else is searching for their Grail, but I wanna see where they are made and talk to the guy that made 'em! :)

Iv'e met Andy and he seems to be a stand up guy. I have been in his area many times and have often wanted to call him to stop by and check out his knives and operation.

It was really good to meet you. I like when folks can stop by actually. Its nice to have someone to talk to. That was a busy day for visitors, I hope you felt comfortable.
