As asked here are some photos of my WW2 set now that I was able to find the last one in set.
It is very difficult to show the details of the blade etch in a photo the way Schrade displayed them in their timber box. So here they are lined up together, it is rare to see all them displayed together in one photo as this.

The Pearl Harbour Bowie Below was the centre Peice of the set. Please forgive my earlier post as I am now am uncertain what the whole set retailed for from Schrade but it was quite High, if anyone knows I would be interested.

The Pearl harbour Bowie appears slightly longer in bottom pic.

Work on the samples began in late 1990 and according to a January 1991 New Product Information sheet, there were to be 500 sets made with a suggested retail of $2,500. There were to also be an additional 1,000 of the Pearl Harbor Bowies made with a suggested retail of $900.

By the way, your pictures are as good as, or better than those done by Schrade!

Michael

Thanks all for the comments it is a nice set, I do know someone who paid $3000 for the set but $2500 retail sounds better.

Thanks Michael (Codger), I really appreciate your posts, and thanks for the info I will value it. Previously Id been told from a good source that the Pearl Harbour Bowie on its own was $1000 out of set and $1200 in set (appraised collectors value or retail Im not sure which) but Id be prepared to accept the $900 for Bowie and $2500 for whole set as more realistic and accurate. Your info of 500 sets corresponds with my info and that they were introduced in the S.H.O.T show in 1991.

There was also "D-Day" set done with no gold fill of the major beach heads, Sword, Juno, Omaha and Utah.

I havent got too many more knives that I havent already displayed on forum and cant buy too many more knives as Im building a new house soon and need the funds but I do have a pic of all my bowies together I was working on yesterday. If anyones interested I could post a pic of that also? Some have already been seen but I aquired a few more recently and put them all together in the one pic?

Tim

The Photo below of document is from Richard Langston off the AAPK forum, Ive kept a copy for my own personal referance.

Great posts Tim! Those are some fantastic photos, you've got that light box set up just right. You should offer your services as a knife photographer, it's amazing how many folks want good photos taken of their higher end Randalls, customs, etc.
Here's a link to a recent sale of one of those solo Pearl Harbors, looks like this guy got a bargain:

He got a sensational bargain, makes me think many just dont know what these and many other Schrades are worth. I know the argument often is that they are worth what people will pay but I dont agree. Lots of people probably just dont know.
