This is a difficult blade coating to get pics of, but this close-up pic of a blade gives you a pretty good idea of how cool it really is. It looks like we smashed sand and applied it to the blade!!! :eek: :cool: :thumbup:

This will debut at BLADE West on a number of Killer Cool Mil. Overruns!!!!! :eek:

Looks like the Fake Granite finish you can buy in the can.......


I like it!!! Other than I would loose it in a Gravel driveway!!!

This coating goes on as a plain ol' Desert Tan base and then each individual grain of sand is flattened and placed onto the base finish by Amy-0 with a pair of micro-tweezers while she is simultaneously making and baking cheesecakes!!!!!! :eek:. . . :eek:. ... :eek:. . . . ;)

If Amy-0 finds out that I could have bought a fake granite finish in a can that looks like it. . . . I'm gonna make her list! :eek:. . .

I bet the Fake Granite finish in the can doesn't smell like cheescake though, does it?

Are folks that cant make it to Blade west going to get a chance at some of these cool knives too?

- perhaps Jerry can come out with a new line of Corrian Finishes - to match the kitchen :)

Or he could even get into dental composite materials! - using the resin technologies!! Vita Shading!! Cross polymerization!! - Nano sized particles!!!
 
It is like the "moss" finish, which at first I didn't care for when judging it from the forum pics. It just looked like one solid green color. However, upon a close up you can see the detail of all the colors that make up the finish; looks kind of like marble. The sand is very nice too :thumbup:

I think its bada$$...Since i dont fight wars in the desert, i can at least be a beach commando and hunt sea lions!!!
